Residence permit

Citizens of the Nordic countries and border commuters do not require a residence permit but must register at the Municipality Citizen Service Centre (Borgerservice).
 

EU nationals require a residence permit if they expect to remain in Denmark for longer than three months.
 

Other foreign nationals must seek a residence and work permit BEFORE their arrival in Denmark.
